After starting out in a jazz band and multiple interventions in the Tunisian electronic scene, the Tunisian producer and DJ moved to France in 2016. Deena Abdelwahed signed to Parisian label InFiné and released two EPs, Klabb in 2017 and Dhakar in 2020, and an album entitled Khonnar in 2018, acclaimed by several international media such as Pitchfork and The Guardian. His musical explorations are hopeful attempts to recover the elements that make Arab music so diverse: dance music influenced by club music and today's avant-garde scene.
